The Pet Spot

Daycare Eligibility

To ensure the safety, health, and enjoyment of guests and staff, dogs must meet the following requirements:

  • All dogs over six months of age must be spayed or neutered
  • All dogs must be up to date on Bordetella, Rabies, and Parvo vaccinations. We strongly recommend vaccinating your dog against Leptospirosis and Canine Influenza Virus. Please be prepared to show proof of these vaccinations
  • All dogs must be in good overall health and free from communicable diseases, illnesses, and parasites
  • All dogs must be well socialized with humans and other dogs. They must enjoy the company of other dogs and never demonstrate any aggression or signs of aggression toward humans or other dogs
  • All pre-entry forms and veterinary vaccination records must be submitted before your dog can participate in daycare or boarding at The Pet Spot
  • All dogs must attend a Meet and Greet before being considered for boarding in our facility

Play Safety & Lobby Leash Policy

For the safety of all dogs and staff, The Pet Spot follows a “play naked” policy, meaning dogs take part in playgroups without collars or harnesses to prevent snagging or accidental injury.

Arrival & Check-In

  • Dogs should arrive wearing a well-fitting collar or harness with a standard leash attached
  • Retractable leashes are not allowed in the lobby due to safety risks
  • If you do not have a standard leash, please inform a staff member before entering and one will be provided for your use

During Play

  • All collars and harnesses are removed before entering playgroups
  • Staff ensure proper removal and reattachment before and after playtime

We require a 24-hour notice for all boarding reservation cancellations. If you fail to provide a 24-hour notice, you may be charged the full rate for your reservation.

We are not be able to administer medications or supplements in a generic container.

Food Preparation

We recommend bringing your dog’s regular food, as sudden changes in diet can cause gastrointestinal stress. Please provide food in a resealable container. Feeding instructions will be reviewed by our front desk associates upon arrival. The Pet Spot is happy to manage special diets that require refrigeration, freezing, or microwaving. You are also welcome to bring any treats your pet regularly enjoys.

No rawhides or choking hazards, please.
